The Library
The KT Library, known as the former space of Sam’s Café, has expanded its services. It functions as both a lending and taking library.
Managed by KT resident volunteers: Michelle Miller, Phyllis Porter, Karen Stewart, Debra Thomas, and Margaret Wheeler, the library curates a core collection of books for borrowing. Residents are not required to check out books; they are encouraged to help themselves and return them at their convenience, without concern for due dates or late fees. Jigsaw puzzles are available for patrons to take, with no obligation for return.
The library welcomes book donations. Those with a substantial number of books to contribute are encouraged to attend the monthly book swaps, held on the first Friday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Alternatively, arrangements can be made with library volunteers for donation drop-offs. Duplicate or heavily worn items may be redirected to other organizations.
The library intends to continue hosting its First Friday swap meets, where volunteer staff will be present to accept donations and encourage reading, borrowing, or taking items. The next swap meet is scheduled for June 7 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Happy Reading!
