TXST@KT scholarship
The TXST@KT Scholarship Fund (Texas State University @ Kissing Tree) offers a special opportunity to contribute to the success of local students. This scholarship is designed for Texas State students who work or have worked at Kissing Tree and qualify for academic aid. Your support helps empower the next generation while honoring the connection between our community and the university.
Did you know?
Kissing Tree (by way of Cohere, Troon, and Brookfield ) employs over 30 Texas State students. These young people energize us with their enthusiasm and capabilities as we interact with them daily at Tarbox & Brown, the Mix, the golf course, and the fitness center. They are driven students balancing their work here with their academic studies.
Scholarships help these hard-working students tackle the financial demands of college. 95% of TXST students are from Texas, and 42% are the first in their families to attend college. Unfortunately, some are just an auto-repair bill away from not making tuition. Many of us worked our way through college and can understand the challenges these students face.
Support the Students & The ongoing partnership
Our partnership with Texas State has allowed us to offer many events this year:
- A meet and greet with Dr. Kelly Damphousse, the Presidents of Texas State University
- A guided on-site tour of the campus
- Cold War spy stories
- An introduction to the Texas Wine Country
- A talk on the importance of memory and sleep
- A visit with the Dean of the Fine Arts Department and musicians
- A tour of the Wittliff Collection, featuring Texas history and culture
