KT Welcomes Chad Donegan, PGA, as new Head Golf Professional

We are excited to announce and warmly welcome Chad Donegan, PGA, as our new Head Golf Professional. Chad brings more than three decades of experience in the golf industry and a proven commitment to excellence in customer service, staff development, communication, tournament operations, and instruction. His passion for growing the game and mentoring others makes him an outstanding addition to our community.

Chad turned professional over 30 years ago and has built a respected career grounded in integrity, professionalism, and leadership. A graduate of Texas Lutheran University (Class of 1994) with a BA in Communications, Chad played collegiate golf and continues to compete at a high level. His accomplishments include competing in the 2019 PGA Professional National Championship and the 2022, 2024, and 2025 PGA Professional Senior National Championships. He was honored with the 2019 STPGA Bill Strausbaugh Award for mentorship and community involvement and the 2024 STPGA President’s Award, and he currently serves on the STPGA Board of Directors.

Throughout his career, Chad has competed in local, regional, and national events, earning respect for his consistency and strategic approach both on and off the course. Equally important, he is known for his personalized coaching style and dedication to mentoring golfers of all skill levels—from beginners to advanced competitors, blending traditional fundamentals with modern instruction techniques to create lasting improvement. Chad and his wife, Christy, have been married nearly 25 years and reside in Seguin.

As Chad begins his role with us, we would also like to offer our sincere thanks to Rafe Corder for stepping up and serving as Interim Head Golf Professional during the hiring process. Rafe’s leadership, professionalism, and commitment ensured a smooth transition and maintained the high standards of our golf operations. We are truly grateful for his willingness to lead during this important time.

Please join us in welcoming Chad Donegan to our community and thanking Rafe Corder for his outstanding service. We are confident that under this leadership, our golf program is well positioned for continued success and growth.

Warm regards,
